The Lake Orion boys swimming and diving team were defeated by Troy on Dec. 20, 104-79.
Winning events for Lake Orion was Ricky Forrest in the 200 freestyle, with a time of 1:49.18; and the 100 butterfly, with a time of 55.56.
Garrett Ruhland took the 200 IM, with a time of 2:05.96; and the 100 freestyle, with a time of 50.04.
Dave Brown was the winner in the 50 freestyle, with a time of 23.09; and the 500 freestyle, with a time of 4:54.98.
Kellen Malstrom won the diving event for the Dragons, with a score of 195.75.
The Lake Orion 200 freestyle relay team of Ruhland, Forrest, Brown and Andrew Kuehl also won, finishing in 1:34.06.
The 400 freestyle relay team of Brown, Ruhland, Kuehl and Forrest were also first, with a time of 3:25.60.
Forrest’s time in the 200 freestyle and the 100 butterfly, as well as Brown’s time in the 500 freestyle, were all times making the Division I state meet cuts.
The Dragons travel to the Heritage Relays on Jan. 7.
They will host Birmingham Seaholm on Jan. 12.
