The Amazon rainforest invaded Carpenter Elementary during their recent winter Intersession, ‘The Remarkable Rainforest.?
Students learned about the four different layers of the rainforest and the reason the rainforests are so important to our world.
They transformed the main hallway into their own version of a colorful rainforest and traveled to the Rainforest Caf?, where they were given an animated tour of the different stations at the restaurant followed by a delicious lunch.
The week ended with a slithery visit from some rainforest amphibians, reptiles, and insects, as Dynamic Assemblies brought in several creepy creatures and taught the students about them and their habitats.
