After splitting games with Farmington Hills Harrison last week, the Dragons were victorious in four games over Royal Oak Kimball on Dec. 19, in varsity volleyball action at Lake Orion High School.
Against Harrison on Dec. 12, The Dragons lost the first game, 25-23, and won the second, 25-19. They lost the third, 25-23, and won the fourth, 25-21, before losing the final game, 15-8.
In that set, Sarah Brown had 38 assists for Lake Orion, while teammate Rachel Bemman had nine kills.
The Dragons took a 3-3, 0-1 OAA II record up against Kimball, going 25-23-26-25 to Kimball’s 8-25-24-11.
Lake Orion head coach Mike Hatch said Cortney Kimmel, Chrissie Janello and Rochelle Boundry all had good passing in the back row.
For the Dragons, Jessica Bland had 15 digs, while Brown put in 26 assists.
Ashley Bringard had 10 kills and 11 blocks for the team.
Lake Orion travels to West Bloomfield on Jan. 12, and hosts the Dragon Invite on Jan. 14.
