OXFORD — Clarkston Boys Varsity Soccer split last week, going 1-1.
Last Thursday was a battle between No. 1 ranked Clarkston and Oxford, ranked No. 4 by Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association in Division 1.
The Wildcats finished as the winner with a 2-1 victory.
Senior Matt de Hesselle scored the lone goal against Oxford with 18:36 left in the game.
The Wolves defeated Birmingham Seaholm on the road on Sept. 19, 7-2.
Goals were made by senior Sebi Roy, senior Brendan Gerard, junior Brayden Cooper, senior Robbie Wisser, sophomore Jake Sweet and junior Tyler Niemi.
The Wolves (8-1-1, 3-1-1 OAA Red) opened the week against Royal Oak. They host Troy Athens on Thursday and Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 3. JVA plays at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
JVB hosts Lake Orion today (Sept. 27) and head to Rochester on Wednesday, Oct. 4. Both games begin at 5 p.m.
INDEPENDENCE TWP —Clarkston Varsity Volleyball posted two wins last week.
They opened the week with a 3-0 against Birmingham Seaholm, 25-15, 25-12, 25-19.
They defeated Troy at home last Thursday, 3-0, 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.
The Wolves (14-2, 2-0 OAA Red) host Rochester this Thursday and Rochester Adams on Tuesday, Oct. 4. Freshman and JV teams play at 5:30 p.m., varsity follows.
