Clarkston Girls Basketball
Clarkston Girls Varsity Basketball team wrapped the regular season as OAA Red League champions going 9-1 in the league. Their lone loss was to West Bloomfield in the last game of the regular season on Feb. 25, 44-43.
Elliana Robak led with 20 points. Brooklyn Covert scored 11 points and Elia Morgner had six points.
The Wolves (15-7, 9-1 OAA Red) host the MHSAA Division 1 Girls Basketball District 27 playoffs. Clarkston plays Waterford Kettering in the district semifinal on Wednesday, March 5, 5:30 p.m. The district championship is Friday at 7 p.m.
The winner moves on to the regional semifinal a Lapeer High School on Monday, March 10, 7 p.m.
Clarkston Bowling
Senior Katie Stephens finished in eighth place during the MHSAA Division 1 Girls Bowling Singles Final at Thunderbowl Lanes on Saturday.
Stephens, a member of the Clarkston Girls Varsity Bowling team, bowled a total of 1,181 in six games with high games of 246 and 213.
Junior Abigail Stephens finished in 49th place with 932 in six games. She had high games of 184 and 182.
For the Clarkston Boys Varsity Bowling team, sophomore Gavin Pittman finished in 35th place during the Singles Qualifying Block with a total of 1,141 after six games. He had a high games of 208 and 201. Junior Jackson Artiss finished in 46th place with a total of 1,074 after six games. He had high games of 219 and 215.
The four Wolves qualified during the MHSAA Division 1 Singles Region 6 Qualifier, Feb. 22, where Artiss finished in sixth place with 1,134, and Pittman, seventh, 1,117, for the boys. K. Stephens finished in second place with 1,059; and A. Stephens, fifth, 980, for the girls.
Clarkston Competitive Cheer
The Clarkston Varsity Competitive Cheer team finished in tenth place in the MHSAA Division 1 Regional 1 at Hartland High School, Feb. 22.
The Wolves scored a total of 771.80 points. They scored 232 points in round one; 224.10, round two; and 315.70, round three.
