Clarkston Girls Soccer
The Clarkston Girls Varsity Soccer team split the last week of the regular season going 1-1.
The Wolves opened last week with a hat trick from Emma Bradley in the 3-1 win over Royal Oak, May 14, to win the OAA White Division with a 5-0 record.
They closed the regular season with a 3-2 loss to Davison the next night. Emi Catinella and Alexa Knights each scored a goal in the second half.
Clarkston (11-5-2) hosts Grand Blanc (10-4-4) in the first round of the MHSAA Division 1 Girls Soccer District 5 playoffs this Thursday, 6 p.m.
Clarkston Baseball
The Clarkston Varsity Baseball team went 2-2 last week. They opened the wee with a 7-2 win over Birmingham Seaholm, May 14. The next day they headed to Bloomfield Hills where they lost 3-1.
They split their double header at Romeo on Saturday, losing the first game 3-0 and winning the second, 4-3.
They opened this week finishing their 3-game series against Lake Orion on Monday. They play a double header at Brighton on Thursday and at Milford on Saturday, with a game at West Bloomfield on Friday.
Clarkston (12-16) plays Fenton in the first round of the MHSAA Division 1 Baseball District 31 at Grand Blanc on Tuesday, May 28, 4 p.m.
Clarkston Boys Golf
Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf competed Oakland County Division 1 meet at Fieldstone Golf Club, May 15.
They finished in 13th place with a overall of 324. Senior Sam Studak led with a 78; freshman Chris Quayle, 79; Vinny Giannini, 82; senior Owen Cameron, 85; and junior Calum Hartner, 87.
The Wolves competed in the OAA Red Invite and finished in fourth place, May 13. Quayle finished in tenth place with an 80; Giannini and Hartner, 82; Studak, 83; junior Brady Ebling, 85; and senior Luke Brody, 92.
The JV teams took the top two team spots at the 18th Annual Farmington JV Invitational out of 23 teams last week, with scores of 320 and 324.
Golfers receiving medals finishing in the top 15 were: freshman Connell Vogelei in first place with a 74; sophomore Anthony Dubeck, second, 75; sophomore Brock Van Etten, tied for third, 76; and junior Finn Mooney, tied for seventh, 77.
Clarkston Softball
The Clarkston Varsity Softball team lost their double headers against Rochester Adams and Northville last week. They lost 4-1 and 7-6 against Adams on May 14 and 10-0 and 8-7 against Northville on Thursday.
The Wolves (3-20) played Oxford on Tuesday. They head to Divine Child on Thursday and host Imlay City in a double header on Tuesday, May 28, 4:30 p.m.
Clarkston Boys Lacrosse
The Clarkston Boys Varsity Lacrosse team closed the regular season with a 14-12 loss at Orchard Lake St. Mary’s Prep, May 13.
Nick Ferman led with five goals and one assist. Kendall Makouen had four goals. Ellis York had one goal and four assists. Denny Wandrei and Joe Rottenberk each had one goal. Lucas Diton had four assists. Luke Darnell and Parker Royse each had one goal.
Clarkston plays Romeo in the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Lacrosse Region 4 Semifinal at Troy High School on Friday, 5:30 p.m.
