Clarkston Boys Golf
Clarkston Boys Varsity Golf team finished in sixth place at Spring Meadows Invite with an overall score of 314, May 20.
Freshman Chris Quayle led with a 72, finishing in fifth place. Senior Owen Cameron and junior Braden Waechter both had a 80; senior Luke Brody, 82; and junior Vinny Giannini, 84.
The JVA and JVB Boys Golf teams competed in the Falcon Invite last week and both finished in the top five for teams and have golfers finish in the top five for individuals.
Clarkston Gold finished in third place with a 342 and Clarkston Blue, fourth place, 344. Sophomore Brock Van Etten finished in second place with a 76 and junior Frank Stanek, tied for fourth, 78.
The varsity team competes in the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Golf Regional 2 in Midland on May 29.
Clarkston Baseball
The Clarkston Varsity Baseball opened last week finishing their 3-game series against Lake Orion, May 20.
They lost the postponed game, 3-2. Camden Williamson pitched for four innings with four strikeouts and zero earned runs. TJ Hyde pitched for two innings with three strikeouts and one earned run. Danny Giordano and Connor Paul each had an RBI on their one hit. Logan Brimacombe had two hits and Owen McCuan had one hit.
They lost their double header against Brighton last Thursday, 8-6 and 11-5.
The Wolves (12-19) played Fenton in the first round of the MHSAA Division 1 Baseball District 31 on Tuesday. The winner moves on to the district semifinals against Oxford on Saturday, 10 a.m. The final is at 2 p.m. with both games at Grand Blanc High School.
Clarkston Softball
The Clarkston Varsity Softball team defeated Oxford in both double header games, May 21. They won the first game, 14-4; and the second game, 13-2.
The Wolves played Divine Child on Thursday and lost 4-2.
They played their last double header of the regular season on Tuesday against Imlay City.
The Wolves (5-22) play West Bloomfield in the MHSAA Division 1 Softball District 26 semifinals at 12 p.m. The final is at 2 p.m. Both games are at Waterford Kettering.
