“No one in the six teams that participated shot under 80,” she said.
For the Wolves, Emily Sherman shot a 83; Lauren Fishtahler, 85, and Lily Fishtahler and Lily Haviland each had a 93.

The Clarkston Girls JV Golf team continued their dominant season to a 10-3 record with wins over Rochester, Stoney Creek, and Troy Athens last week.
Grace Johnston led the team with a 42 and 47 in her matches. Also, scoring for the Wolves were: Ava Ebling, Allison Brakke, Camryn Boisvert, Skylar Drinkard, Caitlin Poterek, Emily Goodrich, Eva Duch, Isabella Ashley, and Corryn Niemi.
“We continue to have players stepping up and playing great golf,” said Coach Nikole Carlson. “The improvement from the beginning of the season to now is monumental, over half the team has an average under 55. In golf, only six players go to a match, and with a team of 18 girls that means a lot of practice rounds and time at the range. I’m very proud of them all, they hit a lot of golf balls every day and it has shown in not only their averages, but our team record.”
The Wolves attend the Lake Orion Invitational and compete against Cranbrook at Crystal Lake this week.
“It’s a big match,” said Carlson. “They have one of the best teams in the area and we beat them by two strokes in our first match. We’re looking forward to a week of solid golf.”
