The Wolves continued their winning streak as they were on the road last week at Oxford’s Homecoming Football game with a victory, 20-17.
“It was a great team win,” said long-time Clarkston Varsity Football Head Coach Kurt Richardson, noting a difference in play for the Wolves between the first and second half.
“They look at records,” he said. “They saw 1-3. I kept telling them they are the best team we have played so far, and we don’t match up well with them.”
He pointed out the Wildcats were more physical than Clarkston in the first half.
“They realized we have to play,” Richardson said.. “We started hitting people. We started tackling. We started playing physical football where they were playing physical football the first half. We did some good things.”
The Wolves took the lead less than two minutes into the game off at 78-yard touchdown pass from Mike DePillo to Michael Hein on the first pass of the game.
