Lake Orion Village Manager JoAnn Van Tassel was given a special recognition award by the Oakland County Business Finance Corporation on June 2 at Oakland Hills Country Club BFC is a private operation but uses county employees and pays the county for the use of those employees. It helps businesses obtain financing at favorable rates through the US Small Business Administration 504 loan program. The annual award dinner recognizes those businesses who use the program. Van Tassel was honored for her many years of service with BFC and coming up with the idea to honor participating employers.
