The 10th Annual Davisburg Heritage Festival kicks off at 8 a.m. with a pancake breakfast at the Hart Community Center, Saturday, Sept. 21.
A full day of family friendly activities is planned, including an Antique Tractor Display from 9-11 a.m. at the Hart Community Center; Color Run from 9:30-11 a.m. at Davisburg Elementary, with registration at 9 a.m.; and Classic Car Show in the Davisburg Elementary parking lot from 1-4 p.m.
Events in downtown Davisburg include Davisburg Candle Factory Historical Tours, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.; Davisburg Candle Factory Line Demonstrations at 10 a.m., 2 p.m., and 4 p.m.; Harness Shop Tours from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.; and Parade on Davisburg Road from Shultz Park to the Springfield Township Civic Center Drive at 12 p.m.
At the Shiawassee Basin Preserve, activities include balloons, face painting, inflatables, kids crafts, and games, 12-4 p.m.; live smoke fire safety house, petting zoo, and rock climbing wall; food trucks from, 12-8 p.m.; Springfield Tavern from 12-11 p.m.; historical demonstrations, wagon ride park tours, and kids barrel rides, 1-4 p.m.; pavilion book walk by Friends of the Springfield Township Library, 1-2:30 p.m.; Cornelius Davis, the Wright Brothers and Henry Ford: Exploring the History of Davisburg presented by Carol Bacak Egbo in the pavilion, 2:30-3:30 p.m.; Ron Short Entertainment – Elvis impersonator, 3-6 p.m.; the Cover Bandits, 6-11 p.m.; and Storybook Trail—History of Springfield, all day.
