EPA Begins Review of Springfield Township Dump Superfund Site
Oakland County, Michigan
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is conducting a five-year review of the Springfield Township site in Oakland County, Michigan. Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up – with waste managed on-site – to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment. This is the fifth five-year review for this site.
EPA will be reviewing the effectiveness and protectiveness of the remedy which includes a site visit to observe site conditions and to evaluate any changes that may have occurred at the site and in the area surrounding the site since the previous five-year review.

Agency representatives will be available to answer questions about the site cleanup and this fifth five-year review.
