A scoring error in the Dragons? December game at Southfield Lathrup prevented Lake Orion from winning the game in regulation.
At halftime, a discrepancy was discovered in the scorebook kept by Lake Orion and the one kept by Lathrup.
The book belonging to the home team is the official book, so Lathrup was credited with an extra point.
The game eventually went into overtime, where Lathrup hit a winning three-pointer, but video after the game proved the Dragon scorebook was correct.
Coach Jim Manzo said there was nothing the Dragons could do about the situation, as the game becomes official once the referees sign the home team’s scorebook.
