The Oakland County Fair returns to Springfield Oaks County Park, 12451 Andersonville Road, July 7-16.
“The Oakland County Fair celebrates Oakland County’s rural agricultural heritage and gives kids the chance to see farm animals up close,” said Oakland County Parks Executive Officer Dan Stencil of Clarkston. “There is something for everyone, from exotic animals and contests to rides and carnival fare with fireworks on opening night, July 7.”
New this year is Ladies Night of Destruction, Friday, July 7, in which female drivers will compete.
Grandstand events in the evening include an off-road demolition derby, Figure Eight Races, Superkicker Rodeo, Night of Destruction and Monster Trucks.
The fair also includes contests, food, Big Rock Amusements carnival, fireworks, free concert, livestock, and exhibits in the historic Ellis Barn.
Duck Dynasty’s Jep and Jessica Robertson of A&E’s Jep & Jessica: Growing The Dynasty will appear at the fair Sunday, July 9.
Parking and admission is $12/vehicle and $6/motorcycle, with free parking July 7 and July 13 with a 2017 Oakland County Parks Vehicle Permit.
