Dear Editor,
Working from home due to the COVID-19 stay-at-home order has given me the unique opportunity to watch pedestrian traffic along Cranberry Lake Road.
Surprisingly, no one has yet been struck by a car. I have reached out to the township several times suggesting we need a safety path along the lake. I pay almost $500 a year for safety paths and all I have seen are safety paths leading from Oakhurst.
Oddly, that is where the township supervisor resides.
The township is requesting we avert taxpayer dollars already budgeted for safety paths along school routes so another safety path can be constructed from Oakhurst to Clarkston Road to Lake Orion.
Did I mention Oakhurst is where the township supervisor resides?
Sincerely,
Ann Margaret Johns
