Clarkston residents are sharing ideas to brighten up town during the COVID crisis. Sue Wylie, also a member of City Council, is calling for folks to place luminaries or candles outside homes on Wednesday evenings, as a show of support for doctors, nurses, and medical professionals working to help others through the outbreak.
Nancy Haven, whose husband Eric Haven is mayor, is sharing an idea to place teddy bears, or pictures of the furry toys, in windows for kids and families going on walks to find.
“Kids can go on a teddy bear hunt in your car, bike riding, or walking. I’m sure people with kids are desperate for a entertaining and outside activity to do,” Nancy said. “I think right now we are all looking for something fun in our lives.”
