Bloomfield Hills gets win in pool over CHS swimmers, divers

— Clarkston Girls Swim and Dive lost to Bloomfield Hills at home in a OAA Blue dual meet on Sept. 21, 130-56.
Scoring points for the Wolves in individual events: in the 50-yard freestyle, Calida Brown in third place in the time of 27.37; Sophia Love, fourth, 27.88; Ella Johnson, fifth, 28.21; 100-yard butterfly, Johnson, third, 1:08.62; Caitlin McGivern, fifth, 1:12.11; 100-yard freestyle, Brown, fourth, 1:02.22; Ella Kurmaniak, fifth, 1:02.68; 100-yard backstroke, Avery Wood, third, 1:10.24; Kurmaniak, fourth, 1:11.20; 100-yard breaststroke, Maddy Kauth, third, 1:28.51; Estella Emerson, fourth, 1:28.78; 200-yard freestyle, Marion Walters, third, 2:18.30; Isabella Popiolek, fifth, 2:22.94; 200-yard IM, Bayla Zarzycki, third, 2:38.25; Avery Wood, fifth, 2:46.00; and 500-yard freestyle, Zarzycki, fourth, 6:14.21; and Marion Walters, fifth, 6:14.86.
For relays, in the 200-yard medley, the team of Kurmaniak, Zarzycki, Johnson and Brown in second place in the time of 2:09.15; the team of Wood, Walters, McGivern, Emerson, third, 2:11.06; in the 200-yard freestyle, the team of Love, Emerson, Johnson, Brown, third, 1:54.87; and in the 400-yard freestyle, the team of Love, Wood, Walters and Kurmaniak, third, 4:20.53.
Jordyn Coin finished in first place in the 1-meter dive with 240.30 points scored in six dives and Samantha Carpenter finished in second place with 177.25 points; and Keira Zorski, fourth, 171.50.
The Wolves lost to Oxford on the road in a OAA Blue dual meet on Sept. 14, 100-86.

Coin finished in third place in the 1-meter dive with 213.15 points scored in six dives and Carpenter finished in fifth place with 189.40 points.
Clarkston competes in the Oakland County Championship this week with diving on Friday and swimming on Saturday.
They host Ferndale on Senior Night, Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m.
