Back on May 4, four Clarkston High School students traveled to Dallas to compete in the annual Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference, consisting of various events that focus on business, finance, computer science, and career readiness. Senior Gavin Donchez competed against 39 students in the Entrepreneurship Business Plan, and his idea for a new, innovative tire took third place in the world. Juniors Reagan Hakala and Phoebe Savoie finished 10th out of 27 teams in the Financial Analyst event. Junior Jacob Boisvert competed against 66 students in the Business Law and Ethics event and took 14th. Pictured, from left, are Donchez, Boisvert, Hakala, and Savoie.
