Bryant’s Karate wins big

Congratulations to two students and their coach at Bryant’s Karate in downtown Oxford for their recent accolades.
Nine-year-old Rain Fredericks, of Oxford, took 2nd Place in the 9 and Under black belt division in sparring and 3rd Place in 77-pounds and Under Division in Continuous Sparring at the Kumite Classic held recently in Pittsburg, PA.
Federicks has been a student at Bryant’s Karate since he was 3?-years-old. He currently competes in the Michigan Sport Karate Circuit and National Tournaments throughout the U.S.
Six-year-old Nick Nowakowski, of Lake Orion, won 1st Place in the 6 and Under Division in sparring, won a six-foot Grand Champion trophy for the 6 years and Under Division for kata and sparring and won an overall Tournament Champion award for the entire tournament at the 13th Annual Michael Volante Memorial Karate Tournament held in May in Warren, MI.
This was Nick’s first tournament that he competed in.
He was just promoted to Advanced White belt in June.
Master Jeff Bryant was also awarded ‘Coach and Sensei of the Year? by the United Okinawan Budo Association.
