Exterior work on the Clarkston city hall renovation and expansion project is mostly complete, with the temporary construction fencing removed and front entrance open, said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
City staff will temporarily move into the new City Council conference room, allowing workers to renovate the old office area, Smith said.
“Thank you for your patience during our work,” he said.
The project has cost $165,535.24 of the $300,000 budget so far, and is $10,497 under budget for completed work, Smith said.
Savings have come from the city DPW doing the work, along with discounts and donations of materials and labor offered by businesses, he said.
