Workers have completed foundation work for Clarkston city hall and DPW building, along with the first of two phases of work on the roof, said City Manager Jonathan Smith.
Sections of the cement floor of the new public restroom have been sawcut and removed to allow installation of the rough plumbing. The old front porch was removed and new porch poured, sections of the old garage floor have been sawcut and removed to allow plumbing of the new floor drains, and work on the new entranceway sidewalk is underway, Smith said.
“The rough carpenters were here this week to install two new headers and are expected to return next week to frame-in the new additions,” he said.
The city has spent $29,949 on the project so far, out of a $300,000 budget. Completed projects are $5,146 under budget so far, Smith said.
