Clarkston Flower Shoppe

During your next drive north along M-15, take a closer look at the right side of the road near the I-75 expressway. Tucked in among the busy office buildings and retail stores is a delicate flower shop full of beautiful surprises.
The Clarkston Flower Shoppe, located in the same building as The Birdfeeder on North Main Street, is a full-service, quality florist that has little treats around every corner.
‘In addition to a large selection of fresh flowers, blooming plants and house plants, we are beginning to expand our home decor selection,? said owner Shari Schulz. ‘Our customers love our selection of watches and jewelry. We’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of the Scarf watches, previously featured as one of Oprah Winfrey’s favorite things!?
In addition to watches and jewelry, the Clarkston Flower Shoppe offers an eclectic selection of furniture, mirrors, clocks, architectural pieces and home accent items. There is something original to fit every taste and style.
Some of the newest items available include a line of quality leather handbags and accessories, and a line of decorative lamp burners. The burners are beautiful glass bottles that purify the air, helping to kill some of the most stubborn odors from cooking, pets and cigarette smoke, by burning fragrant or non-fragrant oils.
‘We’ve received excellent feedback from our customers on these products,? said Schulz.
Specifically on the floral end of the business, Schulz is enthusiastic with how the wedding business has grown. The staff at Clarkston Flower Shoppe service a lot of local weddings, but will travel to accommodate out-of-town ceremonies.
‘We take a lot of pride in what we do. We consider it an honor to be such a special part of a couple’s most incredible day,? said Schulz.
Schulz ultimately credits the store’s success to her incredibly talented and dedicated staff. The team at Clarkston Flower Shoppe share a deep love for flowers and a commitment to doing ‘whatever it takes? to go beyond a customer’s expectations.
At the same time, the fun-loving staff maintains a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere in the shop.
‘My girls are the best,? said Schulz. ‘They often treat this business like it was their own. Coming in early, staying late, running errands on their own time, making deliveries on their way home? I’m very fortunate.?
This commitment to customer service carries through into every aspect of the shop. In fact, Schulz recently installed a new ‘point of sale? system to make ordering deliveries and pick ups easier for customers.
‘This system took some getting used to, but it has made such a difference,? said Schulz. It’s much more efficient. Our customers can now call from the road and place an order, even if they can’t reach their credit card at the moment.?
When visiting the Clarkston Flower Shoppe, Schulz would like to invite customers to wander next door into The Birdfeeder. Those customers looking for something unique to accent a beautiful floral arrangement or trying to find that special keepsake for a memorable event will find a vast selection of beautiful statuary, birdfeeders and original nature-related products.
‘I think the only other thing for the staff to say is thank you to all of our customers who have been so loyal to us,? concluded Schulz. ‘You are awesome and we love you!?
