SOUTHFIELD — Clarkston Varsity Football shutout defending 2023 Division 1 State Champions Southfield Arts & Technology on Friday night, 48-0.
Lukas Boman started the night with a 17-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Brady Beck added his own touchdown on a 20-yard run and the quarter ended with the Wolves up 14-0.
During the second quarter, Trey Setter had a 7-yard touchdown run and Boman had his second touchdown of the night, this time off a 27-yard run, to help the Wolves double the score.
The third touchdown for the second quarter was a 17-yard touchdown pass from Alex Waszczenko to Wendell Childs, Jr., 34-0.
The defense stopped Southfield’s punter on the 1-yard line and Greyson Clark scored a 1-yard touchdown run to put the Wolves up 41-0.
The last scoring of the night was a 24-yard touchdown run by Mick Mahaffy in the third quarter, 48-0.
The Wolves (1-1) host their home opener against Oxford (1-1) on Friday.
It is Salute to Service Night. The Wolves are recognizing members of the military and those who serve the community as first responders. All military and first responders get in free.
Beginning at 5 p.m. is a Touch a Truck event where kids and families can explore fire trucks and police vehicles.
