Martha L. Steupert, of Clarkston, graduated with honors from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles this past May with a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration from the Marshall School of Business.
Steupert also earned minors in Applied Analytics and English. These degrees from three different schools on campus (Business, Engineering and College of Letters, Arts and Sciences) qualified Steupert to be recognized as a “Renaissance Scholar” by the university. Steupert finished her undergraduate program at USC having attained Dean List recognition in all eight semesters.
Steupert graduated from the International Academy – West campus in 2017, and started her professional career in June by accepting a position at the KPMG firm in Los Angeles.

MacLean Diver, of Clarkston, is one of 33 Lebanon Valley College ice hockey student-athletes recognized for their academic performance during the 2020-21 season. Diver, a graduate of L M Powers Catholic High School, is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
To be eligible for All-Academic consideration, a player must have completed at least one academic year at their current institution while holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher for all terms of the 2020-21 academic year.

Alexis Arbaugh, of Clarkston, has been named to the University of Findlay’s IHSAHunt Seat Team for 2021-22.
The university’s Hunt Seat Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) team has become one of the top equestrian teams in the country. Riders are judged on hunt seat equitation over fences and/or on the flat. As a member of Findlay’s IHSA team, students learn teamwork, time management, and how to be successful riders who produce winning rides.

Sonja Sayre, of Clarkston, has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s summer 2021 Dean’s List.
Eligibility for the Dean’s List requires that a student accumulate an academic grade-point average of 3.5-3.699 and earn 12 credits for the term.
In addition, Autumn Brown and Andrew Cipriano, both of Clarkston, have made the summer 2021 President’s List.
Full-time students who have earned a minimum grade-point average of 3.700 and above are named to the President’s List. Full-time status is achieved by earning 12 credits; undergraduate day students must earn 12 credits in fall or spring semester, and online students must earn 12 credits in either EW1 & EW2, EW3 & EW4, or EW5 & EW6.

Carthage College, located in Kenosha, Wis., welcomed a record-setting fall 2021incoming class.
Allison Vassilakos and Bo Anderson, both of Clarkston, are part of the school’s freshman class.
Spread across three days, the orientation schedule filled the Labor Day weekend. After moving into the residence halls, students gathered with their families for one of two community welcome sessions Sept. 4 in the TARC Field House.
Heading toward the official enrollment count on Oct. 1, the incoming class remains on pace for an all-time best 850 – with 765 freshmen and 85 transfer students enrolled as of Sept. 1.
Thestudents come from 26 U.S. states and six foreign countries.
“The next four years will transform you in a way you never thought possible,” Ashley Hanson, associate vice president of admissions, told the newcomers. “You are now Carthaginians.”
