It might still be a week-and-a-half away, but the Fall Family Fun Fest welcomes in the autumn season in downtown Lake Orion Saturday (Sept. 13).
Family-oriented activities will take place from 12-4 p.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Shadbolt Streets, and on the sidewalks in front of several downtown businesses.
Hollywood Market will provide free cider and donuts. Studio Glitz will be offering little girls? hair styling, along with a special visit from their Disney Princesses at 2 p.m. There will also be a bounce house and games to keep the kids busy, plus cookie decorating, and the Police Department Safety Tent.
Nearby will be sidewalk face painting, a pottery demonstration, fun with yarn, a coloring contest, hot dogs and hamburgers, free cotton candy and other entertainment.
There is no police auction scheduled for this year, as previously reported.
The Fall Family Fun Fest is sponsored by Hollywood Markets and the Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority. Parking is available at Children’s Park, in public lots on Shadbolt just west of Broadway, on Broadway just north of Shadbolt, plus two-hour on-street parking.
