Larry Dixon won the Best in Show award with his 1961 Corvette.
Bowman Chevrolet hosted its first-ever Customer Appreciation Track Day and Classic Car Show at the newly renovated Waterford Hills racetrack, June 11.
“The track is fantastic, state of the art, it’s gorgeous,” said Corvette racer Danny Kellermeyer of Ortonville, who helped Katie Bowman Coleman, president of Bowman Chevrolet, present awards to car show winners. “They took it down to the base and laid down a whole new asphalt surface.”
Customers were invited to try out the track with race drivers or behind the wheel themselves in their newest Blazer, Silverado, Camaro, and Corvette vehicles.
“We’ve had customer appreciation days for 25 years, but this year we decided to have it at the newly paved Waterford Hills track, right in our backyard,” Bowman said. “This is a blast, treating customers to the thrill of high performance driving.”
