INDEPENDENCE TWP. — Clarkston Area Backyard Birders Club President Bill Haney says tonight’s meeting (Oct. 25) will not be one to miss.
“We’re going to close out 2023 on a high note, literally,” said Haney. “Even though many of our favorite songbirds have fled the friendly confines of our backyards, some of their melodies will linger on as we are treated to the original music of Lee Anne Whitman.”
This will be the fourth time the club will enjoy Whitman’s voice and folk guitar renditions of her songs evocative of Michigan’s birds, wildlife and natural places. Accompanying Whitman will be singer-guitarist Joel Palmer.
Tonight’s meeting, which starts at 6:30 p.m., will conclude the seventh year for the Birders Club.
As always, the meeting will include Detroit Bold coffee, compliments of charter member A.J. O’Neil, while Mary Kraut will have baked goodies with a special treat from Sylvia Medlen.
