ROCHESTER HILLS — Clarkston Varsity Wrestling added two more wins in the OAA Red League in a dual meet at Rochester High School with victories over Rochester Adams and Lake Orion, Jan. 8.
The Wolves defeated Rochester Adams, 53-15. The Highlanders won the first two matches before Clarkston won the next five matches to take the lead before taking the meet.
Wins by falls came from Archer Anderson in the 132-pound weight class over Chad Crenshaw, 1:15; and Nate Carter (150) over Demetrious Thomas, 2:35.
Wrestlers with wins by technical fall were Preston Lefevre over Leon Nikollaj, 15-0; and Trey Setter (165) over Will Anderson, 15-0.
Wrestlers with wins by decision or major decision were Chase Olson (215) over Max Vostryakov, 7-0; Bryce Barnett (113) over Chris Spresny, 14-5; Gavin Culloty (120) over John David Quinlan, 10-5; and Ayden Mutter (157) over Elia Thomas, 12-5.
Camden Neumann (285), Joseph Hahn (106) and Gavin Peruski (138) won with voids.
Clarkston defeated Lake Orion, 39-24.
Wins by falls came from Setter over Samuel Lopez, 4:42; Hahn over Marien Bruce, 16 seconds; and Culloty over Christopher Whitman, 1:27.
Wrestlers with wins by decision or major decision were Olson (215) over Niko Vellucci, 11-6; Neumann over Landon Morris, 2-1; Noah Vogt (113) over Giovanni Adragna, 5-0; Brendan Goldstein (132) over Jason Little, 8-3; and Peruski over Michael Champine, 11-6.
The Wolves hosted the Clarkston Duals on Saturday and went 4-0 for the day with wins over Grandville, 40-24; Romeo, 57-16; Bay City John Glenn, 57-18; and Hudson, 41-32.
The JV team defeated Detroit Catholic Central on Jan. 8, 39-28.
Winning their matches with falls were Jackson Lenhertz in the 113-pound weight class over Colin Giradot, 1:56; Ray Naba over Benjamin Tullio, 1:40; Ryan Schoeneweg (150) over Alexander Boukouris, 3:25; Griffin Fons (165) over Grady Lambrix, 2:25; Oskar Benson (190) over Avery Stevens, 5:29; and Keegan Jensen (285) over Victor Nicolaou, 5:50.
Michael Kearns (138) won by decision over Ryan Donnelly, 10-3.
The Wolves host a OAA Dual on Wednesday, 5 p.m.
