The sixth annual Body, Mind, Green Community Expo will be on Thursday, April 19, from 4-7 p.m. in the Clarkston High School cafeteria.
The free event, sponsored by St. Joseph Mercy Oakland, will feature businesses dedicated to health, wellness, and the environment.
Live demonstrations will include water quality and preservation by Rainforest Café, cooking demos from HAP, and a presentation from Clarkston for Life about community resources for physical, mental, spiritual, and emotional well-being. The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office and Independence Township Fire Department will also be there for a meet and greet.
The Clarkston Area Chamber of Commerce partnered with HAP and Carrot Wellness to bring the Clarkston Community Health Challenge. Download the “Carrot Wellness” app and join the #StepItUpClarkston tab. Prizes include a three-month membership to Anytime Fitness, White Lake Commons; three Cryro Sessions at Clarkston Chiropractic Sports and Wellness; full car detail provided by Bowman Chevrolet; and over $500 in other prizes. Winners will be announced at the Body, Mind, Green Expo at 4:30 p.m.
“As someone whose life was transformed by paying more attention to health and wellness, I think the BMG Expo is a great way for individuals within our community to see how they could possibly enjoy longer, more fulfilling lives,” said Kevin Smith of Independence Television, a member of the planning committee for the Expo. “Being on the committee has been a great experience because it provides me an opportunity to meet and collaborate with other members of Clarkston and the surrounding communities.”
This event is presented by St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital with corporate sponsors Regiani Holistic Dentistry and McLaren Clarkston.
