The Oxford Schools Competitive Cheer teams hosted yet another successful Wildcat Invitational this past Saturday with thirteen schools in attendance.
The Oxford Middle School Competitive Cheer team took third place overall. The high school JV team took fourth place receiving 137 points in the first round, 142 in the second and 205.5 in the third. The Oxford High School Varsity team took third place with an overall score of 640.5.
The girls showed their basic skills in Round 1, including two jumps; their timing and seven unison skills, including jumps and some tumbling, in Round 2; and their creative and stunt abilities in Round 3.
The ladies compete again this Sat., Jan. 24, at Lake Orion High School. The middle school competition begins at 9 a.m., the JV at 11:30 a.m. and the varsity at 4 p.m.
