Dear Editor,
I am writing today to voice my very strong support for Laura Moreau to serve as our next Springfield Township Supervisor.
My name is Richard Parke. I first moved to Springfield Township in 1987. I have had the honor of serving a total of 13 years as a parks commissioner in the Township. I consider myself a conservative with a strong sense of individual freedom, liberty, and personal responsibility.
In my role as a parks commissioner, I have worked with many township officials, and through these interactions, I have gotten to know Clerk Moreau very well.
I say with confidence Laura Moreau is the right person to serve as our next township supervisor. She is very intelligent.
She knows our township’s strengths and weaknesses, and how to leverage one to address the other. She has strong, well thought-out opinions on the wide range of issues that she will confront as supervisor.
Her greatest strength is she seeks out and listens to varying points of view to inform her opinion. She considers the merits of various alternatives to come up with the best path forward, and is neither afraid to incorporate other’s ideas and points of view, nor stick to her guns when she knows she is right.
She is decisive, and has the fortitude to follow through.
In short, she is a leader, and a very good one.
I encourage all Springfield Township voters to cast their ballot for Laura Moreau for Springfield Township Supervisor.
I can promise you that you will not be disappointed.
Sincerely,
Richard Parke
Springfield Township Parks Commissioner and resident
