Several residents in Addison Twp. awoke this past Sunday, April 18, to find that their mailboxes had been destroyed and mail strewn along the roadway.
According to Addison Twp. Substation Commander Sgt. Pete Burkett, residents along Glenmeadow, Frick, Dorn and Lowwood roads were struck by the vandals sometime between 10 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. on Sunday. The unknown suspects knocked down several mailboxes, removed mail from others and left the items across the nieghborhood.
‘I have a stack of mail we collected that I will be turning into the post office today,? said Burkett on Monday morning.
Anyone who is missing mail is asked to please contact their local post office. Anyone who finds mail along these stretches of roadway are asked to turn the items in to either the Addison Substation or their local post office.
