Martian netters top Railroaders

The Goodrich boys basketball team stand atop the GAC Red Division with three teams tied for second behind the Martians: one of these teams is Durand, who the Martians played Jan. 25.
Goodrich was not about to let the Durand Railroaders take a victory home and they won the game 66-39.
The Martians forced 29 turnovers, of which 17 were steals, during the Jan. 25 game. The Martians won their ninth straight game with the victory over Durand. By the first half, the Martians were ahead, 37-15. Colin Angle led Goodrich with 13 points, six steals and seven assists, and Andrew Patrick also had 10 points. Joe Boisture added seven rebounds and Ben Eikey had eight for Goodrich.
The Martians have only lost to New Lothrop over their entire 2007-2008 season and their record is 11-1, 9-1 in the GAC.
The Martians will play at Mt. Morris at 7 p.m., on Feb. 8.
