The Mountaineers were victorious in another win on Saturday afternoon as they defeated Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes at Wisner Stadium, 35-12.
The Clarkston Everest Varsity Football team jumped to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, scoring off two26-yard touchdown passes from Giovanni Mastromatteo to Joey Thibodeau, and two PATs made by Fernando Caccia.
Mastromatteo connected a 34-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Nedwick during the second quarter.
The Mountaineers were scoreless in the third quarter but scored twice in the final quarter off a 9-yard touchdown run by Mastromatteo and a 50-yard touchdown run Jack Lasceski.
Mastromatteo went 9-for-12 in passing for 137 yards. Thibodeau caught four passes for 87 yards. Lasceski went 131 yards in rushing and Caccia went 5-for-5 in PATs.
John Suran led defense with 11 tackles and one sack. Michael McGrath had five tackles. Dominic Cross and Nedwick each had an interception.
The Mountaineers (6-0) host Royal Oak Shrine (6-1) this Friday. Kick off is at 7 p.m.
