NOTICE OF FIRST READING OF THE PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE ZONING ORDINANCE BY REZONING THE LAND DESCRIBED BELOW ON EAST SIDE OF SASHABAW ROAD

FROM C-1 LOCAL COMMERCIAL TO OS-2 OFFICE SERVICE TWO

TO THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF INDEPENDENCE, OAKLAND COUNTY, MICHIGAN, AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS:

PLEASETAKENOTICE, that at a regular meeting of the Charter Township of Independence Board of Trustees held on October 24, 2023, the Township Board approved a First Reading of a Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment to rezone a parcel located on the east side of Sashabaw Road, north of Interstate 75, in Section 22 of the Township, commonly known as 7006 Sashabaw Road, from C-1 Local Commercial to OS-2 Office Service Two. The Board authorized a Second Reading, following the completion of the required legal documents and review by the Township’s general counsel.

A true copy of the Ordinance Amendment is on file and available for viewing between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday at the Independence Township’s Clerk’s Office, 6483 Waldon Center Drive, Clarkston, Michigan 48346.
