- Retention Agreement with Edelson PC and Goodman Acker for Investigation and Potential Litigation of Claims Arising from Potential PFAS Litigation
The following motions were made and passed:
ACCEPT: Recommended Salary Ranges for Township Positions Resulting from the Classification and Compensation Study Performed by GovHR, as Presented in tables A – C, to Include an Annual 3% Range Adjustment, or as Otherwise Determined by Supervisor Based on Operational and Budget Constraints
ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-022 Approving Board Meeting Compensation Amounts for the Board of Trustee Members as Amended to be Effective January 1, 2025
ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-023 to Establish the Township Supervisor’s Salary as Amended to Reflect a 3% Increase in an Amount not to Exceed $118,450.00, Effective January 1, 2025
ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-024 to Establish the Township Clerk’s Salary as Amended to Reflect a 3% Increase in an Amount not to Exceed $108,150.00, Effective January 1, 2025
ADOPT: Resolution No. 2023-025 to Establish the Township Treasurer’s Salary as Amended to Reflect a 3% Increase in an Amount not to Exceed $108,150.00, Effective January 1, 2025
APPROVE: Second Reading of the Zoning Ordinance Map Amendment for 7006 Sashabaw Road from C-1 Local Commercial to OS-2 Office Service Two, located on the east side of Sashabaw Road, north of Interstate 75, located in Section 22 of the Township, adopt an ordinance to Amend the Charter Township of Independence Zoning Ordinance for the purposes of reclassifying certain property situated in Section 22 to OS-2 Office Service Two pursuant to Chapter 50, “Zoning Ordinance”, and direct the Clerk to publish notice in the manner prescribed by law
APPROVE: 2023Budget Amendment #38 as Amended
APPOINT: Trustee Jim Tedder to the Parks, Recreation & Senior Advisory Committee, Investment Advisory Committee, and Wau-Me-Gah Lake Improvement Board
CLOSED SESSION: Pursuant to MCL 15.268(d), MCL 15.268(h), and MCL 15.243(1)(g) to Discuss Legal Opinion Addressing the Potential Purchase of Real Property
