Richard T. “Dick” McDonald; born October 5, 1932 in Saginaw to William and Irene McDonald; of Clarkston; passed away April 13, 2024 at the age of 91; preceded in death by his wife Beverly; father of Marie McDonald, Kay Caruso, Rosemary (Jeff) Schmitz, Michele (John Bashel) Tinson and Maureen McDonald; grandpa of Berik Jarboe, Tim Jarboe, Jessica Caruso D.O., Ross Caruso, Alec (Carla) Schmitz, Madison Schmitz, Nick (Lauren) Tinson, Sydney Tinson, Erica Tinson, Ella Feldman and Jake Feldman; also survived by great grandson Jacques; brother of Joanne (late John “Jack”) Lawrence.
Dick earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and graduated from University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He served the community for many years at his Davisburg dental office. Dick served in the U.S. Army and was a rotary member.He enjoyed traveling, playing bridge and especially valued time spent with family.
Friends may visit Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, Waterford on Friday, April 19th at 10:00am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:30am. Graveside service All Saints Cemetery, Waterford.
