Just before 9:30 p.m., November 4, a 20-year-old resident of Springfield Township was operating a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 pickup northbound on Orion Road when he ran off the west side of the road and struck two trees.
The driver had to be extricated from his vehicle by the Oakland Township Fire Department and air lifted to Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak by Survival Flight.
He was listed in serious condition as of November 5.
A search warrant for the man’s blood was obtained and results are pending.
