Suspects nabbed for attempted robbery outside downtown bar

As a patron of the 24th Street Sports Tavern in downtown Oxford made his way to his vehicle May 5 he was approached by two males who allegedly demanded he give them his money.
Instead of complying, the bar patron ran and told the men he was going to call the police.
The suspects got into their vehicle and left the scene.
When Oxford Village Police officers arrived, the victim described the men and the vehicle they were driving as a black two-door Honda.
They alerted officers in the surrounding areas to be on the lookout for the suspects and the car.
Oakland County Sheriff’s Deputy Liss spotted the Honda in the area of M-24 and Brown Rd.
Liss saw three occupants in the vehicle and stopped it. The men in the car were turned over to village police.
The victim positively identified two of the men.
As a result, Spencer Liley, 21, of Pontiac, and Siraag Aziz, 18, of Auburn Hills, were charged with attempted unarmed robbery.
They were arraigned May 8 in Rochester Hills 52-3 District Court.
Liley was released on 10 percent of a $7,500 bond.
Aziz is being held in the Oakland County Jail in a lieu of a $10,000 bond.
A preliminary hearing is set for May 19.
