Swimmers grab All-State honors

A thought on senior Jordan Zendejas? mind for three years has been the state championship in diving.
After his first visit in his sophomore year he has focused his training on it.
Last year he missed it – placing sixth.
On his final visit to the MHSAA State Finals he was victorious – taking the top spot with 482.6 points last week. He also set a new record in Division 1.
Junior Kenny Stelpflug took fourth place in the 500-yard freestyle, finishing 4:41.87, and sixth in the 200-yard freestyle, 1:44.99.
Zendejas and Stelpflug also won All-State Awards for their events.
‘The boys had a great season,? said Coach Kenwyn Chock on the boys season ending. ‘They set school records in all eleven events.?
Clarkston sent three relays teams in 200-yard medley, 200-yard free and 400-yard free to the finals this year. Steven Nelson competed in the 100-yard backstroke and Micheal Inch in the 500-yard freestyle.
The Wolves finished in 18th place as a team in Division 1 out of 34 schools. Saline took first with 325 points.
