Local Lion Mary Rodgers hasn’t ever seen a puppy as calm as this five-month-old lab. Rodgers and her daughter have been taking care of the pup in preparation for the Lake Orion Lions Club annual Charity Auction, Saturday, Dec. 11, at Palace Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
Doors open at 4:30 p.m. with the dinner buffet and silent auction from 5 to 7. The live auction begins at 8 p.m.
Auction items alongside the peaceful puppy will be a 42-inch plasma TV, golf club sets, a hot water heater, professional sports paraphernalia and much more.
Tickets are $30 per person and include food from Palazzo di Bocce.
Proceeds from the event fund the Lake Orion Lions Club Christmas basket program, which benefits local families. The 2009 program helped over 200 families and senior citizens.
