Clarkston Girls Bowling
Senior Katie Stephens was named to the Michigan High School Interscholastic Bowling Coaches Association First Team All-State in Division 1.
Clarkston Boys Swim & Dive
Sophomore Braeden Covintree finished in 11th place in the 100-yard freestyle event at the MHSAA Division 1 Boys Swim & Dive State Championship at Holland Aquatic Center, Friday and Saturday.
He finished in the time of 52.52. He finished during the preliminaries in 15th place in the time of 53.28. Covintree also competed in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in 18th place during the preliminaries, 1:46.23.
Senior Ben Guzal competed in the preliminaries for two events finishing in the time of 22.81 in the 50-yard freestyle and 55.69 in the 100-yard backstroke.
The 200-yard freestyle relay team of Covintree, Guzal, junior Blake Davidson and junior Jack Smith finished in 27th place during preliminaries in the time of 1:31.76.
Senior Jonathan George finished in 26th place in the 1-meter diving preliminaries with 135.05 points.
Clarkston Powerlifting
The Clarkston Powerlifting team finished the season during the Michigan High School Powerlifting Association 2025 Varsity State Meet at Lake Orion High School, March 8.
Gabe Mansour finished in 10th place in the 207-pound weight class. He lifted 405 pounds in squat; 270 pounds, bench; and 485, deadlift, for 1,160 total pounds.
Lucas Seedorf finished in 11th place in the 165-pound weight class with a total of 1,085 pounds; Jesse Hayduk, 11th in the 155-pound weight class, 1,000 pounds; and Nathan Simecek, 16th in the 165-pound weight class, 1,055;
Jackson Hess finished in ninth place in the 275-pound weight class during the 2025 JV State Meet at Powers Catholic High School, March 1.
He had a total weight of 1,025 pounds, with 415 pounds in squat; 185 pounds, bench; and 425 pounds, dead lift.
Tyler Sowards finished in 16th place in the 194-pound weight class with a total of 880 pounds; A’mari Haase in 17th place in the 164-pound weight class, 785; and Ethan Deering in 17th place in the 181-pound weight class, 880.
