82-year-old grandma gives a gift of love

Norma McArthur, 82, of Waterford, recently brought a little bit of that old Holiday Spirit into Oxford – she donated more than 85 restored dolls to the Oxford Headstart, Michigan Readiness, APEX and PPI programs. McArthur’s granddaughter, Jeanne Vandecar, of Oxford, said that her grandmother enjoys collecting well used dolls (such as Barbies, Cabbage Patch Kids and just general plastic figurines) and making them usable again. She will wash and sterilize all of the toys, give them new hair or clean their existing hair, and even make clothing when needed. Recently, Mrs. McArthur was featured by Channel 7 news for her creative and caring talents.
