Pitching ‘absolutely outstanding?

Oxford baseball is off to a 3-2 start.
‘So far, we’re about right where we thought we’d be and the goal is to get better everyday,? said Coach Kurt Nuss.
The Cats began the season last week with a three-game winning streak beating Waterford Mott 6-1, Waterford Kettering 7-0 and Grand Blanc 4-3 in the first game of a doubleheader Saturday.
However, Oxford lost the second game against Grand Blanc 7-2, then lost 1-0 to Utica Eisenhower on Tuesday.
‘Pitching has been absolutely outstanding through our entire rotation, not just the top,? noted Nuss. ‘We’ve used a lot of guys so far and all of them have done a tremendous job.?
Other areas still need improvement.
‘We need to do a better job of consistently making the routine play,? Nuss said. ‘And our hitting has struggled a bit.?
