When it comes to choosing a place to eat that offers not only great food, but great service, the new Tami’s Grille is the place to be.
Located in the Oxford Mills shopping center at 1386 S. Lapeer Rd., the popular diner, owned and operated by Metamora resident Tami Wolff, has something for everyone.
Whether you’re looking for a classic coney dog and fries for lunch, or fried eggs and hashbrowns for breakfast, Tami’s team of cooks will make you want to come back for more.
If you’re looking to try something new, their menu is also full of unique, yet tasty, treats.
Try their signature stacked sandwiches, piled high with fresh deli meats, or Virg’s Veggie sandwich, made popular by Wolff.
‘These people that come in aren’t vegetarians and they love them,? she said.
Wolff also named one of her dishes after a loyal customer.
The Wild Bill hot dog sits inside a grilled bun smothered in mayonnaise and is sprinkled with chopped tomato on top.
Don’t see something on the menu you want? Tami’s will cook up what you’re looking for.
‘As long as we have it in the kitchen, we can do it,? Wolff said.
But leaving with a full stomach isn’t the only plus of eating at Tami’s.
‘She has such a good attitude,? said Oxford resident and loyal Tami follower, Juliet Smith. ‘When you go into a restaurant, that’s what people look for. They don’t look for food just being good, they look for the atmosphere and all that.?
Wolff has been waitressing in the restaurant business for over 20 years, and has accrued a long list of followers from other establishments in the Oxford area.
They were the ones urging her to start her own place.
‘It’s been so fun,? she said. ‘It’s kind of overwhelming.?
Wolff said it took her three years to complete her restaurant project, but that it’s all paid off.
She said she’s enjoyed the process of making everything come together in a decorative way, like the black and white checkered tile, apple red counter tops and booths.
‘It’s a cozy and warm place to be,? she said.
Tami’s Grille is open Mon.-Fri. from 6:30 a.m.- 4 p.m., Sat. from 7 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sun. from 7 a.m.- 3 p.m.
