High winds knocked out power in Oxford Village and Township Wednesday, Jan. 30.
At 9:30 a.m., 400 customers were without electricity in the two municipalities, according to Scott Simons, spokesman for DTE Energy. School was cancelled at Daniel Axford and Oxford Elementary, and the district’s administrative building was closed due to the outage.
Superintendent Dr. Bill Skilling said school was almost cancelled at Lakeville Elementary and the middle school, but the power can back on at those facilities around 5:45 a.m.
