U.S. Army Major Jaime Breckenridge of Clarkston honored friends who fell in combat overseas as well as all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in America’s wars under a sunny but cool sky Monday morning in Lakeview Cemetary.

Campbell-Richmond American Legion Post 63 led the Memorial Day march from Depot Park and observance in the cemetery, May 27.
Clarkston Junior High School students Mackensie Fazckas and Olivia Richie read essays they wrote about the meaning of Memorial Day, and CJH student Elicia Curtis read the Gettysburg Address. The Clarkston High School Marching Band and Clarkston Choral Group also performed patriotic music during the observance.
