One of the highlights of every Everest middle schooler’s year is the middle school integration.
Held early in the school year, this trip ordinarily takes middle schoolers to a camp for an overnight. At the camp, students participate in team building activities and fun. With current COVID-19 restrictions, the activity had to be adapted, but the middle schoolers enjoyed middle school integration day on Sept. 25.
The day began with mass after which Richard Cross, Everest dean of discipline, explained the activities. Students rotated by classes through games including Bowl of Knowledge, Guess Who, Switch Places If…, and the two favorites, Newcomb volleyball and kickball. The group enjoyed pizza and popsicles outdoors and finished the day watching the powderpuff game and completing a scavenger hunt.
