4th at Oxford Invitational

It was hard work and Lake Orion High School’s Varsity Cheer Team placed 4th at Oxford’s Cheer Team Invitation on Jan. 17. The team ended up with 638.5 points. Southgate Anderson earned the top spot in the competition with 714.5 points. Thirteen teams participated. Lake Orion is hosting its own invitational at LOHS this Saturday.

Girls undefeated at West Bloomfield

State reduces school cuts $16 per pupil

Oxford Schools Assistant Superintendent Ron Franey announced at the Jan. 13 regular school board meeting that the cuts to the district’s foundation grant monies have been reduced from $100 per student to $84.
