The Veterans Celebration Program at the Fourth of July Independence Fest in Clintonwood Park included a salute to veterans from World War II to the current conflicts in the Middle East, led by Army veteran Jim Schmidt, and a proclamation by Independence Township Board, read by Treasurer Paul Brown.
Gordon and Candace Duda also saluted veterans from early American history, displaying uniforms, clothing, and artifacts from the Revolutionary War.
